Welcome to the website of Certified Naturally Farmed (CNF), a project aimed at providing a low-cost certification scheme for horticultural products suited to Australian small growers, hobby or lifestyle farmers who want to sell fresh produce in their local community. CNF approaches farming from holistic and biological perspectives, placing an emphasis on soil health and fertility while taking into account environmental responsibilities at the farm and local water catchment level at the same time.
This is a not-for-profit, self-help community project bringing together growers, retailers and a home delivery service with the aim of supplying local people with clean, nutritious produce grown without the use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fungicides that could leave chemical residues. To the discerning customer, this means the freshest possible produce with minimal food travel kilometres.

| The Open Gate Policy | This describes CNF growers' requirements for public disclosure of items of their documentation and records. |

Hopefully you'll find some interesting, maybe even thought provoking reading here. Perhaps you'll feel inspired to start your own local group based on our guidelines and format. If so, and you're not trying to profit from it, we're happy for you to use anything on this website; we simply require an acknowledgement and a link back to here as the original source if you do.
